Connie Collins, M.A.
Connie Collins is currently Assistant Professor
for the Education Department in the School of
Professional Studies for the University of Saint
Francis. She has been in education for over
thirteen years as an urban teacher and
professional development consultant/coach.
She has served as an Elementary Title I Teacher,
Curriculum Facilitator for Reading and Language
Arts, Co-Director of the Gifted/Talented in the
Ft. Wayne, IN District Program, and Administrative Curriculum/Program Specialist. Her focus has been on reading for high ability students, writing across the curriculum, differentiated instruction and leadership.
In addition, she has trained Literacy Coaches and Facilitators on elements of Differentiation in a Train the Trainers model, as well as, designing and implementing training for Administration on Levels of Service. Connie has also been instrumental in writing grants and funding support.
She has presented at the National Association of Gifted Children Conference, the National Council of Teachers of English, the Indiana Literacy Initiative, The National Writing Summer Institute and has served on the NCATE Support Team for Reading Instruction.
She holds two masters degrees. Her first is a, Masters in Elementary Education and her second is a, Masters in Educational Administration. In addition, Connie holds three endorsements: Social Studies (PreK-9), Reading (PreK-9), Early Childhood Education. Her Bachelor of Science degree is in Education Pre-K5.
Connie’s rich and diverse background in public school education and in professional development serves her well. She is a dynamic member of the RFA: A Robin Fogarty Company cadre of premiere consultants. Her knowledge, energy and penchant for sharing her expertise with others, endears her to audiences throughout the country.
