Informative Assessment: When It's Not About A Grade

Course Description:
In order to use assessments to "inform" instructional practice, Robin Fogarty has designed a training for teachers to learn about teacher-tested, tried and true in-Formative assessment tools that they can apply immediately in their K-12 classrooms.  Using “InFormative” assessments is asking “How am I doing?”, rather than a summative approach of, “How did I do?”.  These formative tools and techniques are organized around three levels of everyday kinds of implementation:

1) Routine Formative Assessments - All Days!

2) Reflective Formative Assessments - Many Days!

3) Rigorous Formative Assessments - Some Days!
